Debra Wells
Office Manager
Debra Wells has proudly been with Lotus since 2013. She is an animal welfare advocate and is enthusiastic about excellent medical care for companion animals and wildlife. She brings experience in office management, development, and communication. After pursing her Bachelors Degree, Debra has worked animal sanctuaries and veterinary hospitals. Originally, a Chicagoland native, Debra is a mother of two boys and a wife. She is also an adoptive mother to her animal crew.
Shea Watson
Office Assistant
Hi I’m Shea! I was born and raised in Colorado. My husband is active duty so we have moved around to various places every couple of years. I have been working in the veterinary field since 2015 and have loved every second of it! We have 4 dogs (2 German shepherds, 1 golden retriever mix, and 1 lab mix) along with 1 cat. To say we have a full house is an understatement! I love to go explore the outdoors in my spare time with my husband, daughter, and dogs.
Kelly Alvarez

Hi! I’m Kelly. I was born and raised in Pennsylvania. I have been in the veterinary field since 2007. I attended college in Florida earning my degree in Veterinary Technology in 2013. I am a licensed veterinary technician in the state of Pennsylvania, and I am very excited to join the Lotus team. When I am not working, I keep busy with my twin boys, daughter and all our furry family members. I look forward to helping you and your pets.

Susan Tome
Veterinary Assistant
Susan Tome is a San Francisco native with 28-years of experience as a veterinary technician and assistant. Susan has a special interest in behavioral training and wildlife. When not working, Susan enjoys cycling, reading, and walking all around the city with her husband, and dog Emily. The Tome household also includes Penny (the cat who thinks she’s a dog), Takezo (a 30-year-old velvet gecko), Hector (a 16-year-old fire-belly toad), and the most recent adoption, Mr. Peabody (a crested gecko).
Jacquelyn Epstein

Hello, I am Jacquelyn! I was born and raised in a small coastal town just south of San Francisco. I have enjoyed being around animals ever since i was a kid and decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine just a little over ten years ago! In my spare time, I enjoy hiking with my hound, going to the beach, reading, horseback riding and just relaxing! I am thrilled to join Lotus veterinary house call team!
Isabela Ramos
Veterinary Assistant
Hi, I’m Isabela! I was born and raised in San Francisco. Growing up I’ve always expressed a deep love for animals and interest working with them. In 2020 I decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine as an assistant. When I’m not helping fur babies I enjoy going on walks with my pup, dancing and binge watching the latest series on Netflix. I’m excited for this new journey with Lotus House Calls.
Ricky Tam
Registered Veterinary Technician
I have been in the bay area most of my life. I was never allowed to have pets as a kid, so only naturally do I lean heavily into a field with animals. I have been an RVT since 2018 and still going strong. Currently finding the joys of keeping in shape with a constantly aging body and a teenager's appetite. Living with a middle aged kit that was rescued during my small time living in Philly.
