Debra Wells    Office Manager   Debra Wells is an animal welfare advocate and is enthusiastic about excellent medical care for companion animals and wildlife. She brings experience in office management, development, and communication. After pursing her Bachelors Degree, Debra has worked with Dogwood Animal Shelter, Ulster County SPCA and Rooterville Animal Sanctuary—training for veterinary assistant & management while there, in addition to hospital work. Originally, a Chicagoland native, Debra is a mother of boys and a wife. She is also an adoptive mother to her animal crew, Emma, Jack and Jerry. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and being a catalyst of positive & productive change.

Deborah Salvaggio is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana and has grown up with many wonderful animals all her life. She is a wife and proud mother of twins. Hi! I am Sophia Mendez, I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. I come from a small family of animal lovers! I have worked in the veterinary field for almost 13 years and have loved every minute of it. It is one of the most rewarding and loving fields that anyone can be a part of. Rebecca Sid    Office Assistant & Relief Veterinary Assistant   Rebecca Sid has been working the veterinary field since 2008 and was born in the San Francisco Mission District. Rebecca Sid

Office Assistant & Relief Veterinary Assistant

Rebecca Sid has been working the veterinary field since 2008 and was born in the San Francisco Mission District. She graduated from Foothill College's Veterinary Technology Program in 2012. Susan Tome    Veterinary Assistant   Susan Tome is a San Francisco native with 28-years of experience as a veterinary technician and assistant. Susan has a special interest in behavioral training and wildlife. When not working, Susan enjoys cycling, reading, and walking all around the city with her husband, and dog Emily. The Tome household also includes Penny (the cat who thinks she’s a dog), Takezo (a 30-year-old velvet gecko), Hector (a 16-year-old fire-belly toad), and the most recent adoption, Mr. Peabody (a crested gecko).

Susan Tome is a San Francisco native with 28-years of experience as a veterinary technician and assistant. Susan has a special interest in behavioral training and wildlife. Karla Fernandez    Registered Veterinary Technician   Karla Fernandez is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area. She is a veterinary technician, an advocate for wildlife and companion animal health and performs medical services and rehabilitation for the last 16 years. She was a marine mammal rehabilitation volunteer for 12 years at The Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, CA, and a Veterinary Technician who provided care for companion animals in Primary Wellness Care. She also has 10 years of Specialty Medicine in Internal Medicine, Oncology and Emergency Medicine at SAGE Centers for Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Care, Redwood City/Campbell, California and Nor Cal Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital, Daly City, CA.  Karla’s primary medical interests are providing companion animal guardians with the education and assistance they need to provide care and help for their beloved family members. Karla also has a great passion for palliative, hospice and end-of life care for a family’s beloved animal companion. Karla has joined the Lotus Veterinary House Calls team to provide clients and patients with the upmost compassionate, caring and thorough medical care in the comfort and ease of their own home. When not providing care for our patients, Karla enjoys the “nooks and crannies” that the Bay Area has to offer, but calls the beauty and ocean waters of Pacifica, home.

Karla Fernandez

Registered Veterinary Technician

Karla Fernandez is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area. She is a veterinary technician, an advocate for wildlife and companion animal health and performs medical services and rehabilitation for the last 16 years. Izabela Stawicka    Registered Veterinary Technician   Izabela joined Lotus Veterinary House Calls in 2019. After graduating with Master's Degree in Animal Science, she has worked for over twenty years with various animal species, including farm animals, captive wildlife and most recently companion animals. With a strong passion for animal wellbeing, she always had interest in veterinary holistic medicine and alternative therapies. Izabela joined Lotus Veterinary House Calls in 2019.
